About Field
Field is a free web directory — a running record of websites organised by subject. The current index holds 826 entries across 22 categories, from legal practices and dental clinics to gaming platforms, technology firms, and the open web. Each listing represents a domain that has been submitted, reviewed at a basic level, and added to the register.
The directory was built on a simple premise: that a well-organised list of real websites has practical value. Field does not rank sites by traffic or score them by authority. It records them — noting the domain, the category, and a brief description — and leaves the evaluation to you.
All 22 categories reflect the sectors most commonly represented in submitted listings. The Web & Networking column is the largest, reflecting the volume of web-native operations that seek directory presence. Smaller columns like Property & Estates and Documents & Credentials cover more specialised corners of the record.
Listing your site in Field costs nothing. Submit your domain, pick a category, and write a short description. Submissions are reviewed before publication, but the process is straightforward and the result is permanent unless a site goes dark or violates basic content standards.
Field is maintained on an ongoing basis. The register grows as new submissions clear review, and categories are updated to reflect the range of sites on file. If you run a website that belongs on the record, the intake desk is open.
